The Promise of Flawless Skin, No Filter Needed
Ah, foundation— It can make or break your entire Makeup look so If you’re on the hunt for a new foundation that promises an airbrushed finish without the heavy feel, this review of the new Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation is for you!
As a beauty enthusiast who’s tried countless foundations, I was intrigued by the buzz surrounding this latest launch. I wanted to try it for myself and give you a real review of Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation that would cuts through the TikTok hype.
It claims to blur imperfections faster than you can say “Instagram filter,” but does it really live up to the hype? I decided to dive face-first into this one (literally) and see if this foundation could truly blur my flaws—or just my expectations.
Huda Beauty Easy Blur 2024: What’s Inside the Magic Bottle?

Huda Kattan, the mastermind behind Huda Beauty, set out to create a foundation that mimics the effect of a social media filter – minus the digital trickery.
The Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation boasts a lightweight formula infused with niacinamide (1.5%) and silica, promising to blur pores and deliver a natural, airbrushed finish.
- Natural Airbrush Finish: Offers a smooth, filter-like effect. The silica microspheres in the formula scatter light, giving your skin a soft-focus effect that smooths over imperfections.
- Lightweight Formula: Designed to feel comfortable for everyday wear. This foundation promises a barely-there finish.
- Long-Lasting: Stays put for hours, making it a great option for all-day wear. Huda Beauty swears this foundation lasts all day long
- Non-Comedogenic: For anyone with sensitive or acne-prone skin, this foundation is a win. It’s formulated to sit light on your skin without clogging pores or causing breakouts.
- Key Ingredient: Niacinamide, known for its skin-brightening and anti-inflammatory properties.
The Ingredients: What Makes Huda Beauty Easy Blur So Special?

One of the standout ingredients in the Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation is niacinamide, a powerful form of Vitamin B3. Niacinamide is beloved in the skincare community for its ability to:
- Brighten the Skin: Helps reduce dullness and improves overall skin texture.
- Minimize Pores: Tightens pores for a smoother appearance.
- Control Oil: Helps balance sebum production, making it ideal for combination to oily skin types.
- Soothe Inflammation: Can reduce redness and calm irritated skin. Beyond niacinamide, the formula is packed with skin-loving ingredients that promote a healthy, radiant complexion while keeping your face shine-free throughout the day.
First Impressions of Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation

Upon first glance, the Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation surprised me with its runny texture. This lightweight foundation is significantly lighter than Huda’s previous #FauxFilter formula, perfectly aligning with the trend for skin-like finishes.
Texture and Application
The application is smooth; this foundation seems to “melt like butter” into the skin. A standout feature is how little product is required for effective coverage. Its buildable formula allows for an effortless transition from a light, natural look to full coverage based on your preference.

Coverage and Finish
It’s crucial to work quickly with this foundation, as it dries relatively fast and can feel tight if not blended promptly. A small dollop on each cheek sufficed to cover my entire face, effectively blurring imperfections without erasing them completely.
The result? A subtle, filter-like glow that lets your natural skin peek through, delivering that much-desired airbrushed finish.
Wear Time and Performance
As the day progressed, I noticed some changes. A bit of shine appeared on my nose—a typical occurrence for my combination skin—and dry patches emerged around my jawline and hairline. This suggests that the foundation may cling to dry areas, which is important for those with drier skin types.
The Good, the Bad, and the Blurry: Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation

Let’s break down what’s awesome and what’s a bit meh about this foundation. Trust me, I’ve put it through its paces!
What We’re Loving:
- Feels Like You’re Wearing Nothing: Seriously, this stuff is as light as a feather. Perfect for those “I woke up like this” days.
- From Barely-There to Full Glam: Whether you’re going for that no-makeup makeup look or full-on glamazon, this foundation’s got your back.
- Skin-Loving Ingredients: With niacinamide in the mix, it’s like skincare and makeup had a baby. Hello, brighter skin and bye-bye, redness!
- Instant Filter Effect: It’s like having a real-life Instagram filter. Pores? What pores?
- Stays Put: This foundation isn’t going anywhere, even when you’re running around all day.
The Not-So-Great Bits:

- Might Play Favorites with Skin Types: If you’ve got dry skin, this foundation might not be your BFF. It can be a bit clingy to dry patches.
- Speed is Key: You’ve got to blend fast! This formula dries quicker than you can say “flawless finish.”
- Wallet Workout: At $37 a pop, it’s definitely in the treat-yourself category.
- Shine Might Crash the Party: If you’ve got oily skin, you might need to keep some blotting papers handy for touch-ups.
- Shade Match Roulette: Finding your perfect match might take some trial and error. The undertones can be tricky!
Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation Palette Shades:

Remember, everyone’s skin is different, so what works for me might not work for you. But if you’re after that blurred, airbrushed look without feeling like you’ve caked on the makeup, Huda Beauty’s Easy Blur Foundation is definitely worth a shot!
How It Compares to Other Foundations?
Here’s a quick comparison of how Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation holds up against other popular foundations:

The Verdict : Is it Worth the Hype?

While the Easy Blur Foundation might not revolutionize your makeup routine if you’re already a fan of ultra-light tints, it strikes an impressive balance between coverage and comfort.
It’s perfect for those seeking a medium coverage foundation that feels like nothing on the skin.
Remember, your mileage may vary depending on your skin type.
Those with oily skin might need to pair it with a good setting powder, while dry skin types should prep well with hydrating products to avoid any patchiness.
In a world where we’re constantly chasing that perfect “no-makeup makeup” look, Huda Beauty’s Easy Blur Foundation offers a promising solution.
It’s not quite a tinted moisturizer, not quite a full coverage foundation – and for many, that middle ground is exactly what they’ve been looking for.
Whether it becomes your holy grail or just another option in your makeup drawer will depend on your personal preferences and skin needs.
But one thing’s for sure – it’s worth giving a try if you’re in the market for a foundation that blurs the lines between skincare and makeup.

@paintedbyspencer Is the NEW Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation worth it?! 🔍 Let’s break it down – the good, the bad, and everything in between! 💄 While it does have many pros, such as the blurring effect & soft matte finish, I wouldn’t say its a “one-size-fits-all” foundation. I notice because of it’s quick dry-down, other liquid/cream products, such as concealer and blush, can become tricky to blend on top of it. But to be fair, I think this may be because of the primer. I ended up wearing this foundation alone (without the primer) the day after filming this video, and I had a much better experience! Personally, I think the primer creates too thick of a barrier between my skin and the foundation. But when worn alone, the foundation felt more breathable and gave more of the skin-like finish I prefer. I also found that the foundation didn’t lift as much when I didn’t use the primer! If you’ve tried these products, what has your experience been? Let me know! 🥰 #hudabeauty #easyblur #easyblurfoundation #easyblurprimer #paintedbyspencer ♬ original sound - SPENCER
